Kenya Airways posts worst-ever loss
Kenya's troubled national carrier, Kenya Airways, said on March 27 that its losses for last year more than doubled to $290 million, the worst results it has posted in its history.
The airline, whose slogan is "The Pride of Africa," has been running losses for years, despite the government pumping in millions of dollars to keep it afloat.

Turkey's national flag carrier Turkish Airlines announced that a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner has joined the carrier's fleet.
Air France bomb hoax caused emergency landing and evacuation
An Air France Boeing 777 en route from Mauritius to Paris was evacuated at Mombasa airport, Kenya, after a suspicious device was found in the plane’s toilets. Air France Chief Frederic Gagey said the fake bomb device was a cardboard box, paper and a timer and described the fake bomb placement as an “extremely aggressive act”.
