Suspended sentences for setting fire to U.S. embassy
The Higher Court in Belgrade has sentenced nine defendants on trial for setting the U.S. embassy on fire to suspended sentences.
The incident happened in 2008 after the rally "Kosovo is Serbia."
Serbian War Criminal Sainovic Returns to Belgrade
Sainovic told reporters after he arrived at Belgrade airport late Wednesday that he was not guilty of war crimes but felt responsible for what happened during the conflicts in the 1990s.

A former Serb army commander serving a 20-year sentence for his role in the massacre of Croats during the Balkans wars has died in Lisbon at the age of 68, the Portuguese government said on Aug. 18.

"Special court could spoil Thaci's presidential plans"
A special court for KLA's war crimes, to be set up, could spoil Hashim Thaci's plans to become Kosovo's president, write local media in Pristina.
This would be true if the former leader of the KLA and the former prime minister, who now serves as Kosovo's foreign minister, were to be indicted.

Former KLA members throw bottles at Thaci
Deputy Kosovo PM and ruling LDK party leader Hashim Thaci was pelted with bottles on Monday as he was walking from the assembly to the government building.
Thaci was attacked by former members of the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), who were also chanting, "thief, thief." They were protesting for not being included in a list of KLA "veterans."
