SOFIA - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in Sofia on Thursday he had met with Kosovo President Hasim Taci earlier in the day to discuss when to resume the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue in Brussels.

They met on the fringes of a summit of Western Balkan and EU leaders in the Bulgarian capital.

BERLIN - Germany is supporting Serbia's EU path, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said after meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Berlin on Tuesday, noting that Serbia's accession talks could be successful with further reforms concerning rule of law and the relationship with Kosovo.

The EU's chief executive on Thursday told the six Western Balkan countries that future membership of the bloc was theirs to secure, but toughened a message that reforms were more important than timelines.
