A 14-year-old girl has been wounded in the head with a tear gas canister in the Gazi neighborhood of Istanbul after police attacked protesters demonstrating against the detention of revolutionaries in the area, according to daily BirGün.
Judges' Strike Brings Halt to Trials in Kosovo
The judges of Basic Courts in Kosovo have been on strike for three weeks now, with no sign that the government intends to meet their request for a pay hike.
"The funds to meet the demands of the judges have been set aside, so the deadlock is incomprehensible," Hamdi Ibrahimi, president of the Basic Court of Pristina, said.

BELGRADE - The Trial Chamber of the Belgrade Appellate Court decided to annul the detention sentence for the indictees charged with the crime in Strpci and release them from prison pending trial, Tanjug learnt from lawyer Nebojsa Perovic.
Zagreb Court Prolongs Custody for Mayor
A panel of judges at Zagreb County Court on Thursday rejected an appeal by lawyers for Mayor Milan Bandic and prolonged his stay behind bars.
Bandic was placed in custody on Tuesday last week on suspicion of influencing a witness, forging official documents and blocking the judicial process.

Director of Bulgaria's Traffic Police Resigns
The director of Bulgaria's Traffic Police (KAT) Anton Antonov submitted a notice for leave, but his resignation has not been accepted yet.
Antonov resigned due to personal reasons, but will remain within the system of the Interior Ministry, daily Dnevnik reports.
