Explosive device found outside Turkish cultural centre in Brussels (photos)

Belgian police found and neutralized a potential explosive device in a bag left outside an office used by a Turkish cultural association in Brussels on Friday.
Police were called after a plastic bag was left in front of the building at around 2.30 p.m. (Greek time).

Three More Indicted over Harmanli Migrant Riots

Bulgarian prosecuting authorities have indicted three migrants on charges of hooliganism and obstruction to police.

The Harmani Regional Prosecutor's Office has taken the step in relation to the November 24 unrest at the Harmani migrant reception center in Southern Bulgaria, where hundreds of migrants were hurt and hundreds were arrested.

S Korea's Park 'colluded with aide' in graft scandal

South Korean prosecutors said on Nov. 20 that President Park Geun-Hye colluded with her close confidante in a corruption and influence-peddling scandal that has sparked massive nationwide protests and calls for her impeachment.

Park's longtime friend Choi Soon-Sil was charged on Nov. 20 with coercion and abuse of power, as was one of the president's former aides.

The Single Property Tax (ENFIA) is to undergo significant changes from 2017 after the Council of State ruled that the method used to calculate the tax for four areas in the country was illegal on the grounds that it did not take into account their special features in the assessment of their objective values (property rates used for tax purposes).

Romanian National Radio Probed Over Illegal Contracts

Police from Romania's Economic Crime Directorate and prosecutors carried out searches at Romanian Public Radio headquarters on Thursday.

The investigation was directed at several member of the administrative board of the state-owned broadcaster, suspected of abuse of office as well as conflicts of interest.
