A group of 460 people managed to enter the Guinness Book of World Records on Aug. 30 after joining forces in Turkey's northwestern province of Bursa to form the world's biggest floating peace sign.
Fire breaks out at military zone in Istanbul
A fire broke out Aug. 25 in a forested area inside a military zone in the Tuzla district of Istanbul, with flames spreading to a wider area due to windy conditions, according to witnesses.
The D-100 motorway towards Edirne way has reportedly been blocked to traffic.
The military zone is close to residential areas in the Tuzla district.

Heavy rain in Istanbul affected sites on the European and Anatolian sides of Istanbul, filling a newly built tunnel in Taksim and flooding Üsküdar district.
The tunnel in Istanbul?s touristic Taksim district, which was recently built as part of the controversial Taksim pedestrianization project, was flooded following a day of heavy rain.
New metro line to be built to connect Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen Airport
Transport Minister Feridun Bilgin has said preparation works are ongoing for a new metro line between the Kaynarca district on Istanbul?s Asian side and Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
A Gülermak-YSE consortium won the tender to construct the line, Bilgin stated, adding that the land has been officially submitted to the consortium to start construction works.

The suspect, identified as Suat ?., was detained with nine other people on Aug. 17 after an informant told the police they were selling drugs in Istanbul?s historic Fatih neighborhood.
