My decision whether to run for mayor of Sofia will be dictated by the interest of the citizens. This is what Ombudsman Maya Manolova said in an interview on BNT's Tomorrow's Bloc.

At 11:00 today, Ombudsman Maya Manolova will submit a Bill on the bankruptcy of individuals, the so-called personal bankruptcy to the National Assembly.

I will run for Mayor of Sofia if the mockery with the citizens continues. This is what Ombudsman Maya Manolova told bTV.

Bulgaria's Ombudsman Maya Manolova said that a discussion will be held in her office on June 28 about the machine voting at the forthcoming local government elections, reports BNT. 

"I still have no decision on whether to run for Sofia mayor," said Maya Manolova, the National Ombudsman of Bulgaria, to bTV. She said that the more people are keen on running for the place, the more she doesn't want to do it", but also the unceremonious attitude of the state towards the citizens motivates her in the opposite direction for candidacy.

Nurses gathered in front of the Metropolitan Tokuda Acibaden City Hospital to demand higher pay and better working conditions. The protesters spoke of pressure exerted by directors of private and state hospitals for their involvement in such manifestations of dissatisfaction.

Last public discussion on electricity and heating prices increase from July 1, this time with the participation of civilian organizations. Yesterday, the National ombudsman of Bulgaria Maya Manolova has requested from the KEVR (EWRC) the financial statements for the activities of the electricity distribution companies for 2018.

Bulgarian Ombudswoman's office received the highest UN status "A" as national institution for the protection of human rights. The status obtained means that the Ombudswoman works in full compliance with the requirements of the UN Principles of Paris.

Once again, medical professionals protest at the University's General Hospital in Burgas with a request for decent working conditions and higher wages. National Ombudsman Maya Manolova joined the protest, reported NOVA TV.

Ombudsman Maya Manolova organizes today a second meeting on the dirty air, the Ombudsman press office said. The meeting will start at 2.00 pm. 

The first thematic meeting of citizens with the responsible institutions took place on 24 January this year.
