Turkey's Meat and Milk Board (ESK) started offering carcass meat for cheaper prices to butchers and delicatessens to ease increases in red meat prices as of March 27. 

The authority will supply a kilogram of meat to delicatessens for 20.5 Turkish Liras and 22.5 liras to butchers. VAT will be included in the base prices. 

China lifted a ban on imports of meat from Brazil on March 25 after Brazilian authorities clarified details of a police investigation into alleged bribery of health inspectors, in a victory for President Michel Temer's efforts to stem damage from the probe.

On Wednesday several countries have banned imports of Brazilian meat after police raided several meat producers last Friday for allegedly doling out bribes to inspectors to certify meat that was either rotten or tainted with salmonella.
