Megatrend University council accepts Jovanovic's resignation

BELGRADE - The Megatrend University council aceepted on Saturday the resignation of rector Mica Jovanovic relieved him of office, the university has stated.

Jovanovic said on Friday he would resign as head of that private university and vice president of the Conference of Universities, which was requested by Education Minister Srdjan Verbic.

RTS: Mica Jovanovic resigns

BELGRADE - The rector and owner of Belgrade's Megatrend University Mica Jovanovic said for state-run Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) on Friday that he was resigning from all his posts and that he was currently staying in London.

RTS said on its website Jovanovic was in the British capital seeking his “lost” doctorate.

Minister says Jovanovic must give explanation or resign

BELGRADE - The rector of the private Megatrend university Mica Jovanovic has received a doctor's degree from the Faculty of Organisational Sciences in Kranj, Slovenia, but holds no doctor's degree from the University of London, Serbian Minister of Education Srdjan Verbic has said, calling on Jovanovic to respond to these claims or resign.
