The funeral program of Türkiye's prominent musician Özkan Uğur, a member of one of the best-known Turkish pop music bands, MFÖ, who lost his life on July 8 after a decade-long fight with cancer, has been announced.

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has honored the achievements of artists with the Presidential Culture and Arts Grand Awards.

The annual award ceremony took place at the presidential complex in the capital Ankara with limited participation due to the pandemic.

Sinai Province, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant's (ISIL) Egypt affiliate, fired rockets on June 9 at the direction of an airport in Sinai used by multinational peacekeeping forces, security sources said, adding that there were no casualties reported. 

The group claimed responsibility for the attack on several Twitter accounts linked to it.
