Riot police unit comes under attack in Exarchia
A group of about 80 people attacked a riot police unit stationed on the corner of Harilaou Trikoupi and Didotou streets in Exarchia, central Athens, early Saturday.
Reports suggested the unidentified assailants launched Molotov cocktails at the officers. No one was detained, while a police investigation is under way.

Athens court acquits defendant of Marfin firebombing attack
An Athens court on Monday acquitted 34-year-old defendant Theodoros Sipsas of all charges related to the firebombing of a branch of Marfin Bank in central Athens during an anti-austerity riot in 2010 that led to the death of three bank workers.

Police units attacked with firebombs in Exarchia
Riot police officers were targeted by unidentified assailants who launched Molotov cocktails at them in the central Athens district of Exarchia late Saturday and early Sunday, authorities said.
A first attack occurred on Tositsa Street shortly before midnight, while a second assault took place at around 12.30 a.m. on Harilaou Trikoupi Street.

Assailants firebomb central Athens police station
A group of around 40 people threw close to a dozen Molotov cocktails at the Exarchia police precinct in central Athens on Sunday afternoon.
The raid caused damage but no injuries. Some of the perpetrators were also armed with sledgehammers, which they used to attack the guard post outside the police station and three parked cars.
