Three arrested in Patra trying to plant heroin in playground

Two 18-year-olds and a 25-year-old were arrested on Friday for trying to plant heroin in a children's playground in the western port city of Patra.

According to reports, the three men refused to stop for a check by police on a street and ran off to a nearby playground where they were nabbed as they tried to hide a package containing 206 grams of the drug.

More drug addicts seeking treatment, report says

Experts say there has been a rise in the number of drug addicts seeking treatment, as well as a drop in the number of drugs-related deaths in Greece.

According to a report by the Greek Documentation and Monitoring Center for Drugs (EKTEPN) that was presented Tuesday in Athens, the number of addicts who entered a rehab program increased from 4,087 in 2015 to 4,314 in 2016.

Police Found 6 Tons of Amphetamine at a Port in Varna, Bulgarian Seaside

Six tons of amphetamines are caught at the port of Varna - West, the press service of the Appellate Prosecutor's Office in the seaside town reported today.

The drug is detected using the risk analysis method.

Amphetamines were found in 300 sacks in a container and the product in it was declared as citric acid.
