Parliament Set up a Committee of Inquiry for the Acquisition of Bulgarian Citizenship

Parliament established an Interim Commission of Inquiry to investigate all the facts, facts and circumstances regarding the allegations made in European and Bulgarian media about the scandalous bribery scheme for the acquisition of Bulgarian citizenship by foreign citizens.
 
About 161 MPs voted for, one was against, and four abstained.

Sociologists: People Are Giving Their Trust more to the Bulgarian Socialist Party, Than to GERB

People are giving their trust more to the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) than to Boyko Borissov's GERB. This shows a study by the AFIS sociological agency. It was done between November 2 and 7, and 1010 Bulgarians took part in it.

According to sociologists, 23.7% of Bulgarians sympathize with the BSP and 22.2% with the ruling GERB party.

US Ambassador to Bulgaria Visited Headquarters of MRF Party

US Ambassador to Bulgaria, Eric Rubin, visited the headquarters of the ethnic Turkish party "Movement for Rights and Freedoms", the party's press office said on 20th of September.

Rubin spoke yesterday with MRF Honorary Chair Ahmed Dogan and Chairman Moustafa Karadyi. The three have discussed topical political issues and the development of bilateral relations.

Ahmed Dogan, the controversial chairman of honour of Bulgaria's ethnic-Turk Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS), has acquired 70% stake in local company SIGDA, which is the owner of the Varna thermal power plant, for an undisclosed sum, according to information from the company register.
