A 17-year-old boy, Mete Karan, who was admitted to hospital with a sudden chest pain, has become the seventh person to be diagnosed with a condition observed after viral diseases such as COVID-19.

The Pfizer vaccine triples the likelihood of developing various forms of inflammation of the heart tissue, but these side effects are extremely rare. This was established by an international team of scientists, and their findings were published in an article in the Annals of Internal Medicine.

COVID-19 can exacerbate old diseases and unlock new ones, and the Delta variant attacks the cardiovascular system,reported  the press office of the Ministry of Health (Ministry of Health) on Facebook.

Myocarditis, stroke or blood clots formation may also develop.

Japan's Kanagawa prefecture said it has found another vial of Moderna Inc's COVID-19 vaccine suspected of containing a foreign substance and has put the rest of the lot on hold.

In a statement on Aug. 31, prefectural authorities said a pharmacist found several black particles in one vial upon checking for foreign substances before the vaccine's use.

The ministry’s findings found 275 cases of myocarditis between December 2020 and May 2021
