An Exhibition Presents Over 300 Saved Treasures From Treasure-Hunters in Bulgaria

The exhibition presents over 300 saved treasures with high cultural values from treasure-hunters across the country. The name of the exhibition is  "The Saved Treasures of Bulgaria".

It will be opened today at the Archaeological Museum of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS).

The exhibition displays stolen cultural assets that have been the subject of unlawful trafficking. 

Roman-era sarcophagus with dog sculpture goes on display in Athens

This marble Roman-era sarcophagus with a sculpture of a little dog lying down has been brought out of storage at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens for the "Unseen Museum" exhibition. Bulgaria Displays Ancient Treasures In Cooperation With Other European Countries

The National Archaeological Institute with Museum with the Bulgarian Academy of Science hosts two new exhibitions. The first one presents the popular  golden treasure of Nagyszentmiklos which is part of the collection of the Art History Museum Kunsthistorisches in Vienna, BNR reported.

Manhattan DA returns ancient sarcophagus fragment to Greece nearly 30 years after smuggling

The Manhattan District Attorney’s office on Friday announced the return of a fragment of an ancient marble sarcophagus fragment to Greece.
As part of a continuing investigation with partners in international law enforcement, the DA’s office went into a gallery in Midtown Manhattan with a search warrant and seized the fragment, which was on display as a centerpiece.
