Serbian parliament to discuss statute of Vojvodina on Friday
BELGRADE - The draft statute of Vojvodina, to be discussed by the Serbian parliament on Friday, does not diminish the autonomy of the province and will be adopted in the form proposed by the Assembly of Vojvodina, Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic said on Tuesday.
Udovicki: Main change - RIK to conduct elections
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Kori Udovicki said Monday that the main change proposed by the bill on amendments to the Law on National Councils of National Minorities is for the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) to be in charge of conducting council elections and not the Ministry, as was the case so far.

Parliament sets up 12 of 19 committees
BELGRADE – The Serbian parliament has so far fully constituted 12 of a total of 19 of its committees in the new session.
One committee has still got no chair, one does not have deputy chair, and four committees currently have neither chair nor deputy chiar.

NOVI SAD - Session of the Vojvodina Assembly dedicated to the debate on the draft Statute of the northern Serbian province, is scheduled for May 14, Vojvodina government's Public Relations Bureau released on Friday.

BELGRADE - The Committee on Labour, Social Issues, Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction was constituted in the Serbian parliament on Friday and Vesna Rakonjac of the Serbian Progressive Party was appointed as the committee chair.
