The search-and-rescue operation to find people still missing after a fishing trawler carrying migrants capsized in international waters off the coast of the Peloponnese continued for seventh consecutive day on Tuesday. 

Sixty-eight migrants found on Monday on a sailboat northwest of the coast of the small island of Leros, in southeastern Greece, were rescued and transferred to the island, state-run broadcaster ERT reported.

The migrants were picked up by a merchant ship that was sailing nearby and then by the Coast Guard that transferred them to Leros.

Fishermen on the southeastern Aegean of Kalymnos say they are routinely harassed by Turkish patrol boats and trawlers every time they head for the nearby islet of Imia and other areas, preventing them from making a living. 

Rescuers were on April 2 searching freezing waters off Russia's Far East after a fishing boat sank in the Sea of Okhotsk, possibly after a collision, with the loss of at least 54 lives.
