Pioneering Spirit has begun installing the first line of the TurkStream gas pipeline in the Black Sea area near the border of the Bulgarian Exclusive Economic Zone, the project company said in a statement on Feb. 19. 

According to Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, the planned Russian-German gas pipeline North Stream-2 could trigger a Russian-Ukrainian war, EUObserver reports, quoted by Focus News Agency.

MOSCOW - The Gazprom board of directors will at a February 13 meeting consider the option to purchase an additional stake in the South Stream Serbia company, the Russian energy giant announced on Monday.

According to the Russian news agency Tass, one of the items on the agenda is "purchase of additional shares of South Stream Serbia by Gazprom."

The board of directors of Russia's energy giant Gazprom will consider buying an additional stake in the company Juzni Tok Srbija (South Stream Serbia) AG.

This will happen on February 13, Gazprom has announced, according to TASS.

Denmark passed a law on Thursday that could allow it to ban Russia's Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from going through its waters, Reuters reported.

Some 30 percent of the offshore construction of the Turkish Stream Pipeline has been completed, the project company announced in a statement on Nov. 29.

New U.S. sanctions against Russia could jeopardize Nord Stream 2 and TurkStream projects’s finish, Russian energy giant Gazprom warned Tuesday.

In its third quarter report, Gazprom said the sanctions will have a negative impact on the company’s foreign investments and put the gas line projects at risk.

There is no consensus in the European Union on a possible future mandate for the European Commission to negotiate on the future of the North Stream 2 project. This was acknowledged by EC President Jean-Claude Juncker.

His words made it clear that half of the EU member states do not agree to have a mandate for negotiations for the EC.

Russian gas giant Gazprom does not rule out the possibility of building new gas pipelines to meet the increased demand for energy from Europe. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of Holding Alexander Medvedev in an interview with TASS.

European Commission Vice-President for Energy Union Maros Šefčovič and Russia's Energy Minister Alexander Novak plan to meet in the autumn to discuss EU-Russia energy relations, including security of supply, a European Commission spokeswoman told New Europe.
