Filipovic Europe's best water polo player, Pijetlovic second
LUXEMBOURG - Filip Filipovic, a member of Serbia's water polo team, was declared Europe's best player in 2014, according to LEN, the European governing body for aquatic sports.

Divac: Azerbaijan will be excellent host to European Games
BELGRADE - President of the Olympic Committee of Serbia (OKS) Vlade Divac met in Belgrade with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Serbia Eldar Humbat oglu Hasanov, and expressed his belief that Azerbaijan will play an excellent host to the European Games in June.
The inaugural European Games will be held on June 12 to 28 in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku.
Water polo-Serbia post convincing win against Russia
ASTRAKHAN- Serbia claimed an impressive 17-8 (4-2, 4-1, 5-2, 4-3) victory over Russia in a Men's Water Polo World League 2015 Group B third round match in the Russian town of Astrakhan on Tuesday.
This was the third consecutive victory for the team coached by Dejan Savic, after previously beating Spain in Nis (9-1) and Germany in Hamburg (19-10).
Arsovic triumphs in Ruse
RUSE - Serbia's shooter Andrea Arsovic won the first place at the 21st International Air Rifle and Pistol Competition in the Slovenian city of Ruse on the second day of the tournament.
On Sunday, Arsovic had the best score of 209.2 points in an air rifle event, ahead of her compatriot Jelena Zivkovic, and Marta Zeljkovic from Croatia.

Arsovic starts season with victory, Serbia first in Ruse
RUSE - Serbia's shooter Andrea Arsovic triumphantly began 2015, winning trophies in women's single and team events at the 21st International Air Gun Competition, in Ruse, Slovenia.
Arsovic finished first in an air rifle singles event with the score of 206.8 points on Saturday, ahead of the Croatia's Snjezana Pejcic (205.5) and Tanja Perec (185.0).
Report argues 2004 Games boosted GDP
Gross domestic product would have been 2.5 percent lower and employment would have been reduced by 44,000 jobs had the 2004 Olympic Games not been staged in Athens, according to the conclusions of a report by the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE) on the event?s impact on the Greek economy.
