Udovicic: IOC accepted Kosovo under unclear criteria
LUCANI - Serbia's Minister of Youth and Sport Vanja Udovicic has said that the decision to accept Kosovo as a full member of the Internationa Olympic Committee (IOC) was very difficult for Serbia to accept.
US will bid for 2024 Olympics
The United States Olympic Committee announced Tuesday it will bid to host the 2024 Summer Games, but the candidate city won't be selected until early next year.
Los Angeles, Washington, Boston and San Francisco all made their final pitches for staging the four-yearly showpiece to the USOC board of directors on Tuesday.

Greek Olympian blamed for Albanian doping

A row has broken out between the national weightlifting federations of Greece and Albania following claims over the weekend that the former Greek Olympian and current national squad coach, Leonidas Sabanis, played a role in the doping of three Albanian athletes at last months World Championship in Kazakhstan.

OKS condemns IOC decision
BELGRADE - The Olympic Committee of Serbia (OKS) on Thursday condemned in the strongest terms the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to grant full membership to the unilaterally declared Republic of Kosovo, thus setting a precedent as this is not a member of the United Nations.

Serbia's water polo team beats Germany in Hamburg
HAMBURG - Serbia's water polo team outplayed Germany 19-10 (3-4, 5-2, 6-3, 5-1) in the second round of Group B of the World League in Hamburg on Tuesday evening.
The team coached by Dejan Savic notched another win on their way to defending the World League trophy, with the first win scored against Spain in Nis last month (9-1).

Djokovic, Moldovan and national basketball team best in 2014
BELGRADE - World's top tennis player Novak Djokovic has been declared athlete of the year for the 5th time in his career in the annual selection of the Olympic Committee of Serbia (OKS), while kayak competitor Nikolina Moldovan was chosen as the best female athlete.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic said Thursday in Kosovska Mitrovica, commenting on the announcements that Kosovo will be granted full membership in the International Olympic Committee (IOC), that this would set a precedent in international sport, considering that Kosovo is not a member of the United Nations.
