Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will visit China to join a summit for the "Belt and Road," Beijing's ambitious international logistics and trade plan, Deputy Prime Minister Tuğrul Türkeş has said.

Cultural ties with Shanghai to be featured on November 13
BELGRADE - A program dedicated to cultural cooperation between Shanghai and Belgrade will be held at the Studentski Grad Cultural Center in Belgrade on November 13, the organizers announced Monday.
Guests of the program will be a delegation of the city of Shanghai, led by Deputy Mayor Yin Chen, and the Ambassador of China in Belgrade Li Manchang.
China launches 10 bln euro fund for Central, Eastern Europe
China has set up a 10 billion euro ($11.15 billion) investment fund to finance projects in Central and Eastern Europe, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China said in a statement issued on Nov. 6.
The China-Central Eastern Europe fund will be run by Sino-CEE Financial Holdings Ltd, a company established by the bank earlier this year.
Where does Turkey stand in the New Silk Road?
The Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜS?AD) was one of the first pioneering institutions that started closely monitoring China. During the presidency of Arzuhan Do?an Yalç?nda? in 2007, when TÜS?AD opened an office in Beijing, I remember there were opponents arguing this was not needed.

China's One Belt and One Road - Quo Vadis?

The New Silk Road and Turkey
Chinese President Xi Jinping first mentioned the concept of a new Silk Road in 2013, one that would reach the West from China both from land and sea.
There are two legs of the ?New Silk Road.? The first is inspired by the traditional Silk Road dating way back to the Egyptians before Christ, a territorial one called ?Silk Road Economic Belt.?
