Who would have thought that a 15-year-old girl who crossed the Aegean as a refugee in a small boat 95 years ago would become one of Greece's leading cultural and educational ambassadors?

The International Center for Hellenic and Mediterranean Studies (DIKEMES) has invited Stathis Kalyvas, Arnold Wolfers Professor of Political Science and director of the Order, Conflict and Violence Program at Yale University, to speak on "A Short History of Greece's Modern Past," on Wednesday, April 5, starting at 7 p.m.

The PHILPA Friends of Classic Cars club will be holding its annual display of vintage cars and motorcycles at the Panathenaic (Kallimarmaro) Stadium on Sunday, January 22.
