'Parallel' officers may be reason for heavy casualties in southeast: Erdo?an

Former police officer released in graft probe
An Istanbul court ordered on Feb. 9 the release of a former police officer who was arrested in a probe over the alleged "parallel state" conspiracy.
Istanbul's 13th High Penal Court decided in a unanimous vote to release Hüseyin Korkmaz who had been detained 17 months ago.

Hundreds detained over two years of probes against Gülenists in Turkey
Around 1,800 people, including 750 police officers and 80 soldiers, have been detained as part of ongoing operations in Turkey against sympathizers of U.S.-based Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen since 2014.
Former rector released in Turkey's Gülen probe
Former Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University rector Sedat Laçiner has been released by a court in Turkey's northwestern Çanakkale province after being detained in connection with a probe into the "parallel state" group.
Laçiner was detained on Dec. 26 alongside a number of businesspersons during simultaneous operations where 28 people were detained.

Former rector of Çanakkale OnsekizMart University Sedat Laçiner has been detained in northwesternTurkey's Çanakkale province in connection with a probe into the"parallel state" group, police sources said Dec. 26.
According to the sources, policelaunched an operation at different addresses in the province earlymorning and detained Laçiner and many other businessmen.

Justice minister urges Gülen to come to Turkey for testimony
