Greece starts construction of 35-km fence on Turkish border
The Greek authorities have initiated construction work for a 35-kilometer-long steel fence along the Meriç River as part of the first phase of a new 140-kilometer-long wall project on the Turkish border to prevent irregular migration.
Four kilometres of border fence removed so far
Ljubljana – Just four kilometres of razor wire fence along the border with Croatia has been removed so far, according to a government report released on Thursday.
The army started removing the razor wire on 15 July and a contractor was supposed to take over, but an open call failed since just one bid was received and even that one was incomplete.

Minister vows security to be ensured post-border fence removal
Metlika – Slovenian soldiers have started removing the razor wire that runs along the southern border with Croatia. The first segment of the wire was removed at a border crossing near Metlika (SE) on Friday afternoon. Amid and post the removal, security will be guaranteed in other ways, said Interior Minister Tatjana Bobnar.

Earlier, it was reported that a California court ruled that $ 2.5 million of the Department of Defense's budget could not be used to build a wall, as the administration wanted.

Bulgaria Reaffirms Readiness to Erect Wire Fence on Border with Greece
Bulgarian Defence Minister Nikolay Nenchev reaffirmed on Thursday the country's readiness to erect a light wire fence along its border with Greece in preparation for an eventual increase in migrant pressure.
The minister specified neither the length of the fence nor its exact location out of security considerations, reassuring that the situation at the border is calm for the moment.
Macedonia "building fence" near border with Serbia
Macedonian police and army have been setting up a barbed wire fence in the last two days around a camp in Tabanovce.
Around 1,300 migrants are stranded there.

Bulgarian IntMin Hopes Fence at Border with Turkey to be Completed in March
Bulgarian Interior Minister Rumyana Bachvarova expressed hope that the main facilities of the fence at the border with Turkey will be completed by the end of March.
Bachvarova said this during a parliamentary question and answer session on Friday, daily Dnevnik informs.
