Harvard classical studies professor awarded Greek Order of Honor
Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos on Friday bestowed the Order of Honor on Harvard University Professor of Classical Studies and Comparative Literature Gregory Nagy, in a ceremony at the Presidential Mansion in Athens.
Migrant fishermen granted citizenship for fire rescue effort
Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos on Wednesday signed a decree on granting Greek citizenship to three migrant fishermen for their efforts in rescuing dozens of residents in the devastating July 23 wildfire east of Athens.
During a ceremony at the presidential mansion, Pavlopoulos described the gesture as a sign of Greece's "humanism and solidarity."
Data protection agency submits final report under old law
Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos was presented on Thursday with the annual report of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA).
The report for 2017 was the last written up under European Union legislation on data protection introduced in 1995. New Europe-wide legislation known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force in Greece in May this year.
Juncker welcomes Pavlopoulos to seat of EC
European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker (r) welcomes Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos on Wednesday at the European Commission in Brussels, the first time a Greek president has been invited to speak at the EC. In a joint press conference, Pavlopoulos referred to Juncker's decisive role in supporting Greece at difficult moments during the crisis.

Greek president offers 'undivided support' after bomb attack

Pavlopoulos extends condolences over Strasbourg shooting
Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos has extended his condolences to his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron over the death of innocent civilians in late Tuesday's shooting at a Christmas market in Strasbourg.
