Christos Nikolaou, former University of Crete rector, dies
Christos Nikolaou, 61, a former rector of the University of Crete, died in the early hours of Thursday, following complications after undergoing an operation for an aortic aneurism.
A computer science professor, Nikolaou was the founder of the Transformation Services Laboratory.
He served as rector at the University of Crete from 2000 to 2004.

Greek education minister unveils measures rolling back reforms
