Renewable energy in Kazakhstan

Turkish companies are increasingly entering foreign markets for renewable energy investments, an expert has said.

Renewable energy laboratories across five different provinces have been established to increase the employability of Syrians and Turkish host communities in Turkey's renewable energy sector.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has said it welcomes Turkey’s National Energy Efficiency Action Plan which sets the country on course to implement a reduction of 14 percent of primary energy consumption by 2023.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has said it is providing İşbank, Turkey’s largest private bank, with $55 million in financing to support small-scale renewable energy and resource efficiency projects in the country.

The Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB) has committed to fund around $3.5 billion out of a total of $9.1 billion to initiate over 5 gigawatts of clean energy installed capacity in Turkey, a bank representative said on May 22.
