A travel warning for Russians travelling abroad was given by the Russian Foreign Ministry, stressing that they are in danger by US authorities.

The announcement states that US police forces target Russian citizens. It also blamed Washington DC for kidnapping Russian citizens.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said in an interview broadcast on May 20 that his crisis-torn country was fighting a ?real war? with Russia that could escalate at any time.

Lavrov, who is visiting Belgrade, noted "the risk of facing new misfortunes" in this region.

France is about to ditch the deal on two Mistral-class warships whose delivery to Russia it suspended over the Ukraine crisis, a prominent Russian daily argues.

Paris has already sent to Moscow documents that include a proposal for a EUR 785 M settlement to end contracts on the delivery, Kommersant reports, citing its own sources.

Kerry travels to Russia, has "frank discussions"

SOCHI -- U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said he had "frank discussions" with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi on Tuesday.

This was his first visit to Russia since the beginning of the Ukrainian crisis.

Kerry wrote on Twitter that he spoke with Putin about Iran, Syria, and Ukraine.

She spoke after her meeting in Belgrade with Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry began high stakes talks in the Russian resort of Sochi on May 12 aimed at pushing President Vladimir Putin to fully implement a shaky Ukraine ceasefire.
