Sarajevans Demand Justice Over Death on Road
Friends and family of a young teacher, Hava Sljivic-Dovadzija, rallied in the Nedzarici area in Sarajevo on April 7, at a crossroads where she was fatally hit by a car last week and demanding justice.
Protesters carried banners saying that “murderers must go to prison”, and appealing for “justice for Hava and other victims”.

Rock Band Urges Bosnians to Keep Protests Alive

Lagumdzija: BiH, Serbian gov'ts should hold meeting asap
SARAJEVO - Bosnia-Herzegovina's (BiH) Foreign Minister Zlatko Lagumdzija expects that the first joint sitting of the BiH Council of Ministers and a new Serbian government will be held shortly after the formation of the government in Belgrade.
Sarajevo Withdraws Award For Zagreb Mayor
The City Council of Sarajevo has withdrawn its decision, made in February, to make Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic an honorary citizen of the Bosnian capital owing to his recent statements backing a third, Croatian entity for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Deputy Sarajevo Mayor Aljosa Campara said he hoped the decision would not harm relations between Sarajevo and Zagreb.

Dodik: Strong Serbia is key to Republika Srpska's existence
BELGRADE - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said on Saturday that a powerful Serbia was crucial for the existence of Republika Srpska (RS) within Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Serbia got "a powerful government and institutions" after the snap parliamentary poll, Dodik told a joint news conference after a meeting with Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade.
New Mall Divides Opinion in Sarajevo
Mayor Komsic slipped and fell after the official opening of the new Sarajevo City Center on March 20.
Biljana Jandric, spokesperson of Sarajevo Clinic Center, told Balkan Insight he was received and treated for a fracture. “He will be kept over night for monitoring,” she said.
