Puppy covered in mud and glue found at point of death in Istanbul
A stray puppy that was left for dead after being covered in glue by children in Istanbul is making a slow recovery, daily Hürriyet has reported.
The puppy was struggling to move and was barely breathing when it was found by locals late last week.
Locals who found the puppy took it to a veterinarian for medical examinations.
Tunnel pups taken under protection in Turkey's Kocaeli
A stray dog that gave birth to seven pups inside an electricity tunnel in the northwestern Turkish province of Kocaeli, which was found last week by a shop owner just before the tunnel was closed for the construction of a tram, has been taken under the protection of the local municipality.
Rare 'sharksucker fish' caught off Turkey's Muğla
A fisherman living in the Aegean province of Muğla caught a rare sharksucker fish, also known as a remora, on Oct. 19, Doğan News Agency has reported.
Locals in the Bodrum were shocked at seeing the animal which normally only lives in the tropics.
The rare fish was caught by 54-year-old amateur fisherman Mustafa Yıldızhan off the Yalı neighborhood of Bodrum.

Stray dogs destroy car in Turkey's Sakarya
Stray dogs have destroyed a local man's car in Turkey's Marmara province of Sakarya, Doğan News Agency has reported.
Cem Acar, who works as a mechanic in Sakarya, was shocked to find by the damage to the bumper of his car, calling the police after initially thinking the incident was an attempted theft.

Animals found dead of suspected poisoning in Antalya
At least eight animals including stray dogs and cats were found dead in the Güzelbağ neighborhood of the southern province of Antalya, as residents suspected the animals were deliberately fed poisoned meat, which may have harmed more animals in the area.
Bodrum's 'Golden Gang'
Şenol Özbakan, a former deck-man who adopts abandoned golden retriever dogs in the western province of Muğla's Bodrum district, has thousands of followers on his social media accounts thanks to his "Golden Gang."
The 56-year-old Özbakan, who lives with his 13 dogs in his old minibus parked in Bodrum's industrial site, draws attention for his life.
