Feces in the Sea: Up to 41 times above the norm is the Pollution on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast

Pollution of the sea water up to 41 times above the norm found a joint inspection of scientists from Sofia University and the Association "Active Users" on the beaches along the Southern Black Sea coast.

Its results and analysis were published today.

The Black Sea Basin Directorate, the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water and the Regional Laboratory of the Executive Environment Agency have responded to a report of beach pollution in Albena resort, said the press office of the Basin Directorate. A section of approximately 2 km up to the mouth of the Kranevska river has been inspected.

US scientists have discovered a lake at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, BNT reported. The water in it is about five times saline compared to the surrounding. It also contains poisonous concentrations of methane and hydrogen sulphide and therefore does not mix with the surrounding sea water. If an animal or person enters this pool, toxic chemicals can be deadly.

The weather today will be mostly sunny, but the morning will be quite cool, weathermen of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences say.

Light northeasterly wind will be felt in the southeastern parts of the country.

The highs will vary between 27 and 32 C, the highest expected temperature in Sofia is 27 C.
