Turkey's opposition claims intelligence deficiencies after Ankara attack

Opposition parties have pointed the finger at Turkey's intelligence and security agencies for failing to stop the deadly terrorist attack in the capital Ankara that killed 28 people on Feb. 17, urging the government to take all necessary measures to avoid future incidents.

CHP head again accuses Turkish gov't of sending arms to jihadists

Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) head Kemal K?l?çdaro?lu has repeated accusations that the Turkish government has sent arms to jihadist groups in Syria. 

"Turkey should not lend armed support to jihadist groups in Syria such as [the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant] ISIL," K?l?çdaro?lu said during his Feb. 16 address to the CHP's parliamentary group.

CHP 'against all decisions to plunge Turkey into war'

The main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) "is against all decisions to plunge Turkey into war," its leader has said.

"[Prime Minister] Ahmet Davuto?lu said 'the CHP should choose its side.' As was the case in the March 1, 2003 motion, the CHP is against all decisions to plunge Turkey into war," Kemal K?l?çdaro?lu wrote on Feb. 14 on his Twitter account.

The session on Saturday, March 1, 2003, started at 2 p.m. and was headed by Parliament Speaker Bülent Ar?nç.

CHP 'expects' rules of engagement to be implemented for airspace violations

The main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) has said it expected Turkey would implement its declared rules of engagement in the event of an airspace violation, in response to a Russian warplane which reportedly entered Turkish airspace on Jan. 29, rekindling tension between Ankara and Moscow.
