 We are just a mere few days away from Christmas - the most valued holiday out of the entire year and the hysteria about shopping has begun. Overcrowded shopping malls, promising attractive rates, and huge shopping bags are an increasingly common sight in recent days. And the peak in shopping will be this weekend. Then we are expected to spend the most, Nova TV reported.

One in 10 Greeks was expected to take advantage of Black Friday to do their Christmas shopping even though it is more than a month before the holiday, on November 24, according to a recent survey conducted by Deloitte.

Ermou Street in downtown Athens has re-entered the top 20 most expensive retail streets in the world, according to Cushman & Wakefield’s 2017 Main Streets Across the World retail report. With a rent of 2,640 euros per sq. m annually, or €220 per sq m.
