After Arsenal, Papastathopoulos signs for Olympiakos
Greece and former Arsenal defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos has signed for Greek champion Olympiakos in a deal worth a reported 1.2 million euros ($1.46 million).
The contract the 32-year-old Papastathopoulos had at Arsenal was canceled by mutual consent last week after he made 69 appearances at the London club.
Greece keeper Kapino joins Werder
Werder Bremen has completed the transfer of goalkeeper Stefanos Kapino from Nottingham Forest, both clubs confirmed on Wednesday.
The "Green-Whites" bolster up their squad with the signing of the Greece goalkeeper, who penned an undisclosed contract.

Olympiakos defender Retsos moves to Werder Bremen for record 22 million!
Olympiakos defender Panagiotis Retsos will continue his career in the German Bundesliga, after Werder Bremen reportedly agreed to terms with the Greek champions and forked out 22 million euros for the 19-year-old player. The deal is the most expensive in the history of Greek football and reportedly concluded late last night, after the German club swayed the reds by upping their offer.
German city of Bremen on heightened terror alert
German police said March 1 they have temporarily detained two people and searched an Islamic cultural centre amid a weekend terrorism alert in the northern city of Bremen.
Police stood guard at key locations, including the town hall, main church and a synagogue, for a second day following a federal police warning issued Friday about possible Islamist terrorist activity.
