Former Montenegrin official's son becomes Serbian citizen
Milos Marovic, the son of former high-ranking official Svetozar Marovic, became a Serbian citizen in January.
Montenegro state broadcaster RTCG reported this, and added that Milos Marovic is asking to serve his one-year prison sentence in Serbia.
Montenegro's Ex-President Marovic Faces Jail for Corruption
The ex-president of the former state union of Serbia and Montenegro, Svetozar Marovic, was released from custody on Tuesday after he signed a plea bargain with the special prosecution for organised crime and corruption and agreed to serve three years and eight months in prison.
Former president of Serbia and Montenegro arrested
Former President of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro Svetozar Marovic was arrested on Thursday morning in Podogrica, Montenegro.
Montenegro's Special Prosecution said that Markovic was arrested on suspicion he abused his official position. He was questioned and will be detained for up to 72 hours.

Montenegro Arrests Ex-President Marovic for Corruption
The Special Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime in Montenegro ordered the arrest of the former president of the state union of Serbia and Montenegro Svetozar Marovic on Thursday.
Marovic, who chairs the political council of the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists, DPS, was arrested in connection to corruption cases centred on the resort of Budva.

Police on Thursday arrested several leaders and officials in the scandal-hit municipality of Budva on suspicion of abuse of office and of damaging the local budget to the tune of several million euros, local media reported.

Montenegro's ruling party congress, scheduled for next week, is expected to reaffirm Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic's position as leader and tighten party discipline.
Djukanovic, a former communist, has led Montenegro for almost 25 years. He is seeking his seventh mandate as leader of a party that has been in power without interruption since the beginning of the nineties.
Montenegro Court Jails Former Mayor
Podgorica’s High Court on Thursday jailed 11 indictees in a case involving illegal construction work at Zavala hill in Budva in 2007 and 2008.
Rajko Kuljaca, former mayor of the coastal resort, and Dragan Marovic, his deputy, were found guilty of abuse of office to the benefit a private company, Zavala Invest, and to the detriment of the municipal budget, of more than 800,000 euros.
