German tourists help keep Turkish tourist numbers afloat
An increase in the number of German tourists coming to Turkey helped offset a dramatic decline in the number of overseas visitors to the country during the first five months of 2015, according to data from the Tourism Ministry.

A clear seasonal pattern of tourism activity of residents of the European Union by Eurostat shows that June-Septeber accounts for more than half (51.9%) of the total number of tourism nights spent by EU residents during the whole year. A little more than 60% of these nights were spent in their own country (domestic) while almost 40% were abroad.

Decrease in Russian, Ukrainian Tourist Numbers at 10-20% - Bulgarian Minister
The forecast dramatic 60-70% decrease in the number of Russian and Ukrainian tourists is proving to be a false alarm, with bookings indicating a 10-20% decline, according to Bulgaria's Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova.
In a Thursday interview for Nova TV, Angelkova underscored that bookings by German, Israeli, and Austrian tourists were encouraging.
