New Rule: Campers Now Require Electronic Vignette in Bulgaria
Starting today (February 13), a significant change takes effect for campers in Bulgaria. The country's road agency announced that all campers, regardless of their mass, will now be required to purchase an electronic vignette. This adjustment comes as a result of amendments to the Law on Roads, which come into force today.
Slovenian motorway tolls going up
Driving on Slovenian motorways will cost more starting from 15 June after the government confirmed a 6.8% increase in tolls for all vehicles other than lorries. This will be the first toll increase in ten years.
The annual e-vignette for cars will cost €117.50, up from €110 at present. The monthly vignette will go from €30 to €32 and the weekly one from €15 to €16.

Almost 750,000 e-vignettes sold so far
Ljubljana – Slovenia having switched to e-vignettes on 1 February, the motorway company DARS has so far sold 748,800 e-vignettes, 91% of them annual. It has checked more than 100,000 vehicles to find over 5,000 suspected violations. In 1,356 of them the suspicion has been confirmed and the rest are yet to be checked.

Only part of e-tolling to be ready by December
Ljubljana – E-tolling system for cars will not be fully up and running by December as planned. Only annual electronic vignettes for cars and semi-annual e-vignettes for motorbikes will be available from December, while weekly and monthly e-vignettes will not be available until February 2022.

Slovakia’s Skytoll to set up e-vignettes system in Slovenia
Ljubljana – Slovakia’s Skytoll has been selected to set up a system for electronic tolling of cars, which is to become operational in December, the state-run motorway company DARS said on Friday. Skytoll offered to set up the system for EUR 15.7 million and its bid was the only one meeting the criteria. Appeals are still possible.
Three bids submitted for car e-tolling contract
Ljubljana – The state-run motorway company DARS has received three bids in response to a tender to set up a system for electronic tolling of cars, which is to become operational in December next year. The lowest bid was submitted by the Slovenian company Iskratel in partnership with Hungarian ARH Informatics.

The Sale of E-Vignettes May Be Hampered on March 31
Tomorrow - March 31, between 4 pm and 6 pm, activities for implementing updates of the electronic system for toll collection, the Road Infrastructure Agency said.
It is possible that partial delays and interruptions occur, which could hamper e-vignettes and route cards sales.

As of Today - Drivers without an Up-to-Date Electronic Vignette will be Fined
As of February 17, motorists who drive on the national road network in Bulgaria without an up-to-date electronic vignette will be liable to huge fines. The offenders will be filmed by the cameras of the toll system and will automatically be included in the database, BG TOLL said quoted by BNT.
