Weather hazards

Six foreign nationals, including two children, were killed and more than 100 other people injured after gale-force winds, rain and hailstorms lashed northern Greece late on July 10, uprooting trees and collapsing roofs, authorities said.

Code Orange warning for heavy rain with thunder is in place for 4 regions, Code Yellow for 12 Bulgarian regions, according to the website of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH).

Today with temporary interruptions will be short-lived rainfall, in places - mainly in northern Bulgaria and in the mountain regions - intensive and significant in quantity. It will blow a mild to moderate wind from the north-northeast. The maximum temperatures will be between 27 and 32 degrees, according to the NIMH forecast.
