Three workers were lightly injured by debris that fell during the collapse

The new archbishop of America, Elpidophoros, who will be enthroned on Saturday, is seen addressing members of the Greek Orthodox Church and diaspora in New York on Friday. Construction on a Greek Orthodox church to replace one that was crushed in the Sept. 11 attacks has been temporarily suspended amid rising costs and questions over how donations have been managed.

Benaki Museum will inaugurate the Reconstruction of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at Ground Zero by Santiago Calatrava on Thursday, Sept. 24, and exhibition that will last until Oct. 25.

The exhibition will present sketches, drawings, plans, photographs and audiovisual material.

A fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon in the tallest of the two blocks that comprise the Athens Towers complex in the neighborhood of Ambelokipi, near central Athens, caused a panic among residents and office workers but was brought under control by fire service workers before it could cause any significant damage or injuries.

Thirteen years after the 9/11 terrorist attack, the resurrected World Trade Center is again opening for business, marking an emotional milestone for both New Yorkers and the United States as a whole.
