Ljubljana Festival opens with tribute to pop song lyrics

Ljubljana – The 70th Ljubljana Festival, one of the most high-profile festivals in the country, will open in Congress Square with tonight’s tribute to the Slovenian poets who have contributed lyrics for some of the most memorable Slovenian pop songs, especially in the 1960s and 1970s.

Slovenian novel tops German literary critics’ list

Stuttgart – Slovenian writer Aleš Šteger’s novel Neverend has made it to the top of the June list of books recommended by SWR, a regional TV channel targeting the states of Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. The list is compiled based on ratings by 30 acclaimed German literary critics.
