Parliament’s 1st agenda to include limit on rent increase
As the parliament prepares to commence its duty next week, the agenda is expected to include a limitation on house rent increases and a one-time tax-free right to purchase mobile phones and computers for young people, local media has reported.

161 suspects detained in anti-drug op
Some 161 people were detained in an anti-drug operation in Istanbul, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has stated.
Within the scope of the "rooting out" operation that was launched to combat drug traffic, the 42nd operation was carried out yesterday by Istanbul Police.

Turkey’s quake toll tops 48,000 as gov’t races to build container cities
The death toll in Turkey from last month's major earthquakes has risen to 48,448, Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said on Monday, as authorities rush to set up container cities to house for the longer-term those left homeless by the disaster.
The combined death toll including those killed in Syria has climbed to more than 54,000.
Interior Minister accuses Western countries of staging psychological warfare against Türkiye

75 detained in anti-drug ops: Minister
Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu has announced that 75 suspects were detained in an anti-drug operation in the Central Anatolian province of Nevşehir.
Elaborating on the file consisting of 153 suspects, some of whom were detained in a six-month period, he said that another 75 suspects, including drug dealers, suppliers and shippers, were detained on Sept. 9.

The attacks on Alevi prayer houses, known as the "cemevi," in the capital Ankara are connected to some terror groups, the spokesperson of the interior ministry has said.

Turkey: Huge Forest Fire in Marmaris
A huge forest fire broke out in Marmaris on Tuesday night. According to officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey, about 1,600 people are fighting the flames in the Amazon Bay in the area of Bordubet, BGNES reported.
