Within the new project of the Istanbul Municipality, taxis will use roof lights indicating the availability of taxis as full, available, or reserved.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) accepted the proposal for the arrangement of roof lights in taxi transportation.

Uber, an app-based and on-demand car service company, has begun facing problems in Istanbul as around 1,000 vehicle owners stopped working for the company in reaction to the firm's move to deduct a 25 percent consumer discount from vehicle owners.

A new innovative approach will be implemented at Sofia International Airport in order to fight illegal taxi services. Apparently the measures have been imposed so as to fight the negative effects that illegal taxi services have had on the legally registered companies.
