Police clash with demonstrators protesting a concert by US military cadets
Police clashed late Wednesday with Communist-backed demonstrators who tried to prevent a concert by U.S. military cadets.
The violent protest occurred in the central Greek city of Larissa ahead of a concert by members of the West Point Glee Club, a musical group of the U.S. Military Academy which is currently on tour in Greece.

MPs elect deputy parliamentary speakers
Following the earlier re-election of Konstantinos Tasoulas as parliamentary speaker, MPs have selected seven deputy speakers from five of the eight parties represented in the chamber.
The nominees from the extreme-right parties Niki and Spartans, as well as from anti-establishment Course of Freedom, failed to garner enough votes to be elected deputy speakers.

New parliament sworn in
Greece's new Parliament was sworn in on Monday, following the general elections held on June 25. The ceremony took place in the presence of Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
Following the religious oath, Muslim members of Parliament swore on the Quran, while those who preferred to do so, took the political oath.

Mitsotakis Sworn in as Greek PM After Election Victory
