Red Star Belgrade clinch 35th football league title

BELGRADE - Serbian football giants Red Star Belgrade have clinched their 35th league title with a 2-1 home win against TSC Backa Topola on Thursday evening.

It is also their seventh consecutive championship title.

With just four games to go in the Serbian Superliga, Red Star have 84 points - 14 more than second-placed Partizan.

TSC vs Red Star, Vojvodina vs Cukaricki in Serbian football cup semis

BELGRADE- TSC were on Tuesday drawn to play title holders Red Star at home in the semi-finals of the Serbian football cup and Vojvodina will host Cukaricki in the other semi-final.

The draw ceremony was held at the Football Association of Serbia.

The semi-final matches will be played on May 17 and the final is scheduled for May 25.

Stojkovic, Milojevic win FSS Golden Ball awards

BELGRADE - Partizan Belgrade and Serbia goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic and Red Star Belgrade head coach Vladan Milojevic are the winners of the 2017 Football Association of Serbia (FSS) Golden Ball awards for Best Player and Best Coach.

Both Partizan and Red Star have made it to the Europa League Round of 32 this season.

Javor vs Partizan,Macva vs Red Star in football cup quarters

BELGRADE - Partizan Belgrade were on Friday drawn to face Javor Ivanjica away from home in the quarter-finals of the Serbian football cup, with Macva Sabac to host Red Star Belgrade.

Napredak Krusevac vs Cukaricki Belgrade and Vojvodina Novi Sad vs Mladost Lucani are the other two quarter-final fixtures.

Partizan held to 1-1 draw by Red Star in "Eternal Derby"

BELGRADE - Partizan and Red Star played to a 1-1 draw in Serbia's 156th "Eternal Football Derby" on Wednesday.

In front of slightly over 15,000 spectators at the Partizan Stadium, the hosts took the lead through a Seydouba Soumah spot kick in the 62nd minute after Red Star defender Vujadin Savic fouled Ognjen Ozegovic in the penalty box.

Crvena Zvezda and Partizan in this season's Europa League

Serbia's Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) Belgrade has qualified for the group stage of this season's Europa League after beating Russia's Krasnodar 2-1 (1-0).

The game was played late on Thursday in Belgrade in front of 52,000 fans, and saw Nemanja Radonjic and Kanga Kaku Guelor score for the home side, and Andreas Granqvist for Krasnodar from a penalty spot.
