Turkish holidaymakers flock to Greek islands durind Eid
Some 20,000 Turks traveled to five Greek islands in the Aegean Sea during the nine-day-long Eid al-Fitr break after Greece launched the visa-on-arrival scheme for Turkish holidaymakers.
The number of Turkish tourists visiting those Greek islands increased by 20 percent compared to the same period of last year.

Over 5,000 Turkish visitors crossed from Marmaris and Fethiye in the western province of Muğla to Rhodes Island during the week-long holiday period.

Ferry returns to Piraeus over medical emergency
The Dodecanese-bound Blue Star Patmos ferry was forced to return to the port of Piraeus on Tuesday due to a medical emergency concerning a 69-year-old citizen.
The The Blue Star Patmos had embarked from Piraeus and was to make stops at the islands of Patmos, Leipsoi, Leros, Kalymnos, Kos, Symi, and Rhodes.
No details concerning the patient's health have been made available.

H Hotels acquires Titania in central Athens
The historic Titania Hotel, near Omonia Square in central Athens, has just changed hands: H Hotels, of the Hatzilazarou family, has spent 74 million euros on acquiring the famous unit from London and Regional in the Greek group's first acquisition outside the island of Rhodes.

Direct flight to connect Rhodes with Bahrain
The Municipality of the Dodecanese island of Rhodes on Wednesday announced the launch of a direct flight between Rhodes and the Middle Eastern country of Bahrain.
The flight will be operated by Bahrain's national carrier, Gulf Air.
