Road rage

A 43-year-old man was rammed by another motorist on Tuesday morning during what is believed to be a road rage incident, in the western Athenian suburb of Aigaleo. 

According to reports, the victim, who was in his car with his wife, got into an altercation with a group of three men in another car over unknown reasons.

Istanbul has been ranked as third worst city in the world for road rage, according to research carried out by German automobile company kfzteile2. 

The study also put Istanbul in the worst 10 cities for traffic congestion.

Dusseldorf ranked first in terms of low levels of traffic, good public transport and high road quality, while India's Kolkata ranked last. 

Three men in Crete have been handed life sentences for killing a driver in a road rage incident on the island.

The 51-year-old victim was beaten to death with wooden crooks after asking the men to move their vehicle, which was blocking the road in the village of Antiskari, near Iraklio.

Two of three people allegedly involved in a road rage incident in Crete that left one man dead on Sunday have been arrested.

The two brothers are alleged to have beaten the man with shepherds’ crooks after he complained about their driving at the village of Antiskari in Mesara.
