Hi-tech Instrumentation Technologies acquired by ARX Equity Partners

Solkan – Slovenian company Instrumentation Technologies, a leading global provider of advanced instrumentation in the field of basic particles accelerators and proton therapy, has been acquired by ARX Equity Partners, a private equity group headquartered in Prague. The acquisition price has not been disclosed.

Instrumentation Technologies director Elvis Janežič told the STA on Tuesday that the takeover agreement also pertained to subsidiary Red Pitaya, whose flagship product is innovative electronic tool that features instrument functions such as an oscilloscope and signal generator.

As part of the deal, the ARX private equity fund intends to further Instrumentation Technologies’ growth, and keep the current management team and workforce totalling 43 people.

Former Instrumentation Technologies owner Rok Uršič said the Instrumentation Technologies group was in excellent shape, the best so far, and thanked ARX for recognising its potential.

He believes that the takeover will result in an even bigger success story than so far.

Janežič meanwhile said that the company will continue developing innovative particle accelerator instruments, and focus on branching out into related fields with its high-tech solutions.

Along with Red Pitaya, Instrumentation Technologies had a good business year in 2020 despite the pandemic, having generated EUR 8.1 million in revenue.

ARX Equity Partners has been promoting growth and development of mid-sized companies in Central Europe for more than 20 years.

With more than EUR 300 million raised in four funds, it is a leading private equity firm in its segment operating in the region, said Instrumentation Technologies.
