Red Star beat Partizan in opening game of ABA League final series

BELGRADE - In the opening game of the play-off final series of the regional basketball ABA League, Red Star Belgrade beat arch-rivals Partizan 85-82 at home on Monday evening.

In front of 7,463 Red Star supporters at Belgrade's Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, Yago dos Santos led the scoring for the Red-And-Whites with 18 points, Luka Mitrovic and Milos Teodosic each added 14 and Dejan Davidovac scored 12 points.

James Nunnally stood out for Partizan with 27 points and Kevin Punter and Aleksa Avramovic added 13 and 10 points, respectively.

The first team to win three games in the series will be crowned ABA League champions.

The next game is scheduled for Wednesday evening.
