Trial run of EU emergency number's SMS system 'successful'

A test run of the SMS system linked to the 112 European Union emergency number was conducted successfully on Wednesday by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection, Digital Policy Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis said.

The trial run was focused on Syros with residents and visitors to the island receiving a text message as part of the test.

The NRA Director Won't Resign

The director of the National Revenue Agency (NRA) Galya Dimitrova will not resign due to the leakage of data from the information arrays of the revenue administration, which affected more than 5 million Bulgarian citizens.

"Minister Goranov wants decisions from me, not resignation," Dimitrova said at a briefing.

Tax inspectors come under attack on Crete

Two tax inspectors came under attack in the Cretan port of Rethymno on Wednesday after attempting to conduct a check on a truck driver.  

After the inspectors asked to see his goods and invoices, the driver allegedly lashed out at them inspectors -  a 58-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman.   

Belgrade will get Novak Djokovic Museum

Srdjan Djokovic in the interview for RTS confirmed "Novak Djokovic" Museum will be opened in Knez Mihailova Street.
"We are going to open the museum at the center of the city. There is a huge interest on the part of both local and foreign tourists, particularly Chinese. Novak is highly popular in China", Djokovic Senior told RTS.
