Trucks to remain a headache for Erdo?an
President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an is back hounding a media organ, this time daily Cumhuriyet, and Can Dündar, its editor-in-chief, for publishing footage about three Syria-bound trucks that were stopped by the gendarmerie near Adana in January 2014. It turned out at the time that the trucks belonged to Turkey?s National Intelligence Organization (M?T).

50 detained in fresh wave operations in Turkey's south

CHP applies to election board to restrict Erdo?an rallies before elections
Republican People?s Party (CHP) deputy chairman Bülent Tezcan applied to the Supreme Election Board (YSK) on May 28 to restrict collective inaugurations and public speaking engagements of President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an as part of electoral prohibitions.
Tezcan also asked for restrictions on the broadcasting of those gatherings, the CHP press office said in a written statement.
